It’s May, which means it’s Garmin’s annual sales for their primarily outdoor-oriented products ahead of the summer season. Every year the company tends to put this range of products on sale about 3-4 weeks before Father’s Day in the US and ending around that time.
This year the products fall into the same basic category as last year: Fenix, Epix, Garmin inReach and a side of a pair of Forerunners. However, they also carry all of their high-quality Edge cycling products. It’s still too early to know when we’ll see innovations in this regard, but I certainly wouldn’t expect a new Garmin Edge 550 or Edge 850 anytime soon. After all, the current versions were released barely a year ago. Garmin traditionally uses a 2-3 year refresh cycle for their Edge series.
As for the Fenix and Epix lineups, I laid out my thoughts for those refresh cycles here in this post, and those thoughts still apply. I don’t see Garmin using a 12 month renewal cycle for those products. Similarly, we saw the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 announced a year ago, and it would be a pretty big shift for Garmin to switch to 12-month release cycles for those watches, so I don’t expect that either. Keep in mind that while it took one year from the Forerunner 955 to the Forerunner 965, this was really just a display type change (the watches otherwise have the same features and are both still getting updates). I don’t expect any further mid-range or high-end Forerunner MIP-based display devices. From now on it is AMOLED.
Finally, with all the other releases lately (Polar Grit Prices for the non-Pro editions of Epix and Fenix were already low – but $449/$499 is insanely low. I mean, you can basically decide if you want an Epix for $499 or a Forerunner 955 for $499. It’s crazy.
With all that backstory, see below for all the deals, including a few other non-Garmin offers as they appear. Note that all of these links help support the site, especially from both REI and The Pro’s Closet.

Garmin Epix (Gen 2) – $200 off! $899/$999 |
$499 | N/A | REI | ⚡⚡ This is an incredibly strong deal. Especially considering all the non-Garmin AMOLED competitors that charge a lot more for a lot less features. This non-sapphire version doesn’t have multiband, but testing has shown quite clearly that Garmin’s Epix non-multiband GPS is basically on par with their competitors’ multiband setup (see my NYC tests for that).
Garmin Epix Pro Series (All Variants) – $200 Off! $899/$999 |
$699 | Amazon | The professional’s closet | ⚡ This is only the second time we’ve seen this on sale. This is probably my go-to watch these days (mid-sized), with the particular reason that I tend to prefer it over the Forerunner 965 because it has the built-in flashlight for nighttime use.
Garmin Fenix 7 Pro (all variants) – $200 discount (7S/7/7X Pro) – $200 discount! $799+ |
$599+ | Amazon | The professional’s closet | ⚡ This is only the second time we’ve seen the new Fenix 7 Pro series on sale, and it’s a pretty strong sale. The smaller Fenix 7S Pro watch has become my wife’s favorite watch since it came out, for all her training and 24×7 use.
Garmin Fenix 7 Series (All Models/Styles) – $200 Off! $699+ |
$449+ | N/A | REI | ⚡This is a good deal if you don’t care about the newer optical heart rate sensor (including ECG) of the newer Fenix 7 Pro, especially since the Fenix 7 series has gotten pretty much all the new software features from the Fenix 7 Pro , making them essentially identical. $449 is the lowest price I’ve seen yet.
Garmin Forerunner 255/255S Music – $100 off! $349/$399 |
$299 | Amazon | REI | This is Garmin’s mid-range running watch and is a very polished option with good multi-band GPS and of course a whole host of running data. This model also includes offline music such as Spotify and Amazon Music.
Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar: $100 off! $499/$599 |
$499 | Amazon | REI | See everything I said above about the Forerunner 955 base, except it also has solar power.
Garmin Venu 3 – $50 off! $449 |
$399 | Amazon | REI | ||
Google Pixel Watch 2 – $70 off! | $329 | Amazon
Suunto Veritcal (Solar Edition) – $50 off | $699 | Amazon |

Garmin inReach 2 Mini Satellite Communicator (2-Way) – $100 off | $299 | Amazon | REI | ⚡ This is my defacto satellite communicator when I’m out of coverage area, and I’ve used it over the last two years on some big trips, well outside of cell service, both in a 24×7 follow mode for friends and family, but also there in case need. Would highly recommend to anyone doing anything in the wilderness. |
I will continue to add offers as I come across them.
