You’ll also see the new Meteorite event taking place around the world, where you can find new supplies and even add a friend from outer space to your collection. If you’re looking for multiplayer action, the new Arena in the Desiccated Desert offers PvP gameplay, while the new Oil Rig Stronghold offers some tough new fun, which could be a good opportunity to team up with your friends for some sweet loot.

Many of Sakurajima’s new Xbox achievements are awarded for completing the update’s new content, such as defeating the new Raid Boss, catching new friends (which we won’t name as the achievements are secret), and defeating the Tower Bosses in Hard Mode.
Additionally, however, it looks like we have some additional cumulative achievements to keep you progressing. You’ll find achievements for catching 1,000 friends, catching 140 different types of friends, getting 140 Lifmunk Effiges, crafting 20,000 ammo, and the like. While we can’t confirm this at this time, we hope that the progress you’ve already made toward the achievements will count.
