GTA Online Zombie Mode Revealed in New Update – RockstarINTEL

The new GTA Online update Floor premiums in dollars has just been released and includes content for a special zombie mode. Hidden within the game files, community members have been able to find and access parts of the Halloween event that will take place later this year.

Last year’s Halloween event was also partially ruined because it was also included in that year’s Summer update. Below are spoilers for the upcoming Halloween event in GTA Online, so continue on if you want to know more about it…

Location and mode

According to the files, this special zombie mode will take place in North Yankton, the location of GTA V’s story intro. That’s right, we’re playing in North Yankton instead of sunny San Andreas.

It also looks like this new zombie mode will be a bit like a survival job. It will be called Ludendorff Cemetery Survival as it will take place in the cemetery as seen in the GTA V story mode. Image via @Floorball__.

Take on wave after wave of the undead in this brutal battle to keep at least one foot out of the grave.

Rockstar Games has now confirmed that North Yankton and the Cemetery will be coming to GTA Online in some form. In their recent Newswire post, they wrote “And look forward to more explosive gameplay and events, including Independence Day, a Halloween trip to Ludendorff Cemetery in North Yankton,” confirming this upcoming content.

Twitter user @Hubfex posted strings from the files related to this survival mode:

• Survival of the Ludendorff Cemetery
• Survive 7 waves in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
• Take down every type of undead in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
• Survive 15 waves in Ludendorff Cemetery Survival.
• Enter ~a~~s~ to join Ludendorff Cemetery Survival or go on call to stay in Freemode until the mission is about to begin

Zombies

Below are two of the three zombie character models for the Halloween event. These were posted by @Lucas7yoshi_RS. On the right we see a traditional looking zombie in a jacket perfect for the conditions in North Yankton. The one on the left is very different than you would expect.

Animal audio

A number of new Halloween-themed audio files have been added in the latest GTA Online update. The files were found by @billsyliamgta. These sound effects are for animals like wolves.

Props to Creator Mode

Creator mode will also receive new props during Halloween, just like last year. A number of deathmatch props have been added to the Summer Update game files. Below is a photo of it found by @nkzGTA. They include a zombie staff and a tomb. There are also two Ghost models: NYSP Officer and Dom. Although nkz lists them as creator props, these may be part of the ghost hunting event instead of creator mode.
