Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 instant live coverage – all the news from the Black Ops 6 reveal and Direct

Here’s a CGI video showing off the omnidirectional movement being added to Call of Duty Black Ops 6’s multiplayer, showing off the ability to dive and move around more freely.

At the early reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on the Xbox stream following the leak, Phil Spencer also confirmed the October 25 release date on PS5, Xbox and PC. We also got a few teaser screens ahead of Black Ops 6’s official reveal:

The additional information in the YouTube description includes the following for Black Ops 6:

• Brand new campaign set in the Gulf War era
• 12 new 6v6 maps and 4 new attack maps at launch
• Return of round-based zombies

Obviously the leaks prompted Microsoft to reveal things early, so here’s the first gameplay trailer for the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 campaign.

Another Call of Duty Black Ops 6 multiplayer image has surfaced via Battlenet, showing a new multiplayer map and an AGR killstreak in action.

Most importantly, the leaked images have given us our first look at zombies, albeit in the basic team above.

We also have the first shot below from the multiplayer. What’s interesting here is that side diving appears to confirm a rumor about a new “omnidirectional movement system” that will allow players to slide and dive in any direction.

Steam has also gone live with some Black Ops 6 details and images. That includes these unnamed characters above, as well as the 66 years old Adler is still on a motorcycle.

Besides the classic moody soldier photographed for the pack art, the other key image for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is the logo with what appears to be a three-headed Cerberus styehound.

Cerberus was a guardian of the underworld in classical Greek mythology and is often used to represent a protector.

The PlayStation Store details also mention this “Early Access to the Open Beta”, as well as all the extras that the Vault edition offers:

The PlayStation Store seems to be living up to the game’s story by cheating itself with a breakdown of the game:

The PlayStation Store has interesting but extra information with the line ‘Forced to go rogue’. Hunted from within. This is Black Ops 6,” That ties in with the idea that Adler is on the hunt for betrayal. There is also an image showing Adler escaping the police on a motorcycle. Not bad considering the man he is 66 at this point in the game’s time frame.

Black Ops 6 release date appears to have been leaked. The game comes to PS5, PS4, PC and Xbox Series X and One on October 25.

Considering that Adler is a “don’t care how many people he kills to save lives” type of patriot, it’s very likely that he’s not really a villain. It’s more likely he just did some real stuff, Real bad things to save ‘murica. Completing various Warzone challenges revolves around the ‘hunt for the CIA mole’ and rewards you with a series of Truth Lies and Black Ops 6 Calling Cards, as well as Sally, a gun that usually appears on the covers of the BLOPs.

The mole in question appears to be Adler, with posters appearing in Warzone calling him an enemy of the state for crimes against the US government, killing American personalities, and supporting foreign regimes. Call of Duty also tweeted the above image, confirming that he is wanted for espionage, treason and forging documents.

The Black Ops 6 teases started a few weeks ago with this scary video. It uses clips from all the major powers involved in the Gulf War to deliver the message of ‘lies of the truth’ and to ‘open your eyes’ and also shows what appears to be a TV show called ‘Frank’s Woods ‘, which clearly references one of the most important characters from any Black Ops game to date. On June 3, he also appeared in a wheelchair as part of a Warzone video telling players about information about a mole.

‘The Truth Lies’ is the main tagline for Black Ops 6, with a website of the same name playing videos confirming the 1991 date and featuring the poster above. Pressing the ‘record’ button on the site also downloads a video showing Mount Rushmore being destroyed with the ‘Truth Lie’s message and the game’s logo:

We know that at least part of the game is set in the 1991 Gulf War, thanks to some marketing images that include the phrases “91” and “Gulf.” However, the presence of both President Bush and Clinton is interesting, as Clinton did not become president until 1993, suggesting that the game’s campaign could span multiple years and conflicts.

So far we know two things: Black Ops 6 will most likely include the 1991 Gulf War and Adler is back. The first teaser trailer gave a glimpse of the world leaders involved in the two wars at the time: US Presidents WH Bush and Clinton, British Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and Iraq’s President Saddam Hussein.
