Man goes on an intense journey after making a creepy discovery on Google Earth that ‘no one has ever seen before’

An explorer has revealed whether his journey to see a ‘bizarre’ Google Maps structure was as ‘treacherous’ as he first predicted

A YouTube explorer has revealed what it was like to travel to a geological feature ‘on Google Earth that no one has seen before’.

While searching Google Maps, a YouTuber using ‘thePOVchannel’ came across ‘one of the most bizarre’ geological structures he had ‘ever found on Google Earth’ and, believing it was ‘hiding something’, the explorer concluded not to do that. just stay behind the laptop, but travel to the location to see it for yourself.

In a video uploaded to his platform in December 2023, the YouTuber revealed that the only way to reach the strange structure is “via several kilometers of complicated and treacherous petrified sand dunes.”

“I wasn’t sure if I would make it or what I would find,” he continues. “But in the end, I left this place completely exhausted and with more questions than answers.”

But how did the journey actually go and did the structure turn out to be the ‘fort with holes’ that the YouTuber predicted?

Well, the explorer takes his followers on a journey, together with his faithful companion: an extremely cute dog.

And it’s not long before they encounter multiple obstacles, from large rocks blocking the way to the “vast amount of huge petrified sand dunes.”

Fortunately, by staying on top of the dunes the explorer avoids the rocky slopes or small canyons below, but the ‘steep’ terrain does not make the journey much smoother.

The YouTuber comes across some “really cool lines in the sandstone,” one in the shape of an “S,” before eventually getting closer to the geological structure he spotted on Google Earth, noting that it’s “much , much bigger’ than he had initially expected.

The explorer continues: “When I looked at Google Maps I thought, ‘Oh you know, maybe it’s the size of a big house’. No, it’s a huge chunk of sandstone sticking out of the earth.”

The YouTuber expresses that he is “surprised” that he wasn’t forced to “turn all the way back” and that he was certainly “lucky” in choosing the path he took, which he notes that “it almost never happens ‘.

As he makes his way up and into the structure, he passes through a pretty cool archway that leads to a beautiful bay-like structure, with the sun creeping in.

He concludes, “Wow. This is the first place we checked out and I’m a little overwhelmed right now. This makes me really excited about what might be around the corner.”

The explorer then comes across a footprint on the ground, which he believes belongs to a dinosaur with “a distinct indentation of three marks” next to one of the “honeycomb structures.” [he] seen from the air’.

He concludes, “Wow.”

And it doesn’t take long before people flock to the post in amazement.

One user said: “I love you channel man. I live in the southwestern United States and for my hunting I do a lot of Google Earth scouting. Sometimes I come across something strange and look at it, but that’s pretty rare because of family commitments and time constraints. I really like the concept of what you’re doing here, and it makes me want to get out and do the same more often.’

And another wrote: “It’s clear that the vast majority of people will never venture to such places. So I applaud you for taking us to sights we would otherwise never see. Thank you and your dog… Thumbs up upwards! “
