McDonald’s is angering customers as it plans to cut their favorite item next week

MCDONALD fans have called for a “game changer” menu item to make the chop permanent.

The home of the Big Mac is shaking up its menu next week with eight items being added to the offering.

Fans can pick up a new burger, Skittles McFlurry and the returning iced latte.

But with eight new entries on the way, some have to go, and one facing the chop has fans irked.

A total of twelve items will be removed from the menu, but it is the Biscoff McFlurry that will be axed, leaving foodies dissatisfied.

On X, formerly Twitter, someone said: “Can’t you just keep the Lotus Biscoff Mcflurry permanently? That’s all I’m asking!”

A second added: “Can these please stay as a permanent McFlurry, I absolutely love them!”

Others will no doubt be disappointed to see McFlurry disappear from menus, quickly making the item a fan favorite.

One customer recently labeled the flavor an “absolute game changer,” while another said it was “top tier.”

Eleven other items will be removed from menus on May 28.

The Galaxy Caramel Pie, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Chicken Big Mac, Cheese and Herb Melts Sharebox will all be axed.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Caramel Pie and Quarter Pounder Deluxe will be discontinued.

Everything you need to know about McDonald’s

HERE’S all the crucial information about McDonald’s you always wanted to know…

The burger contains three beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup, encased in a glazed sesame bun.

It will be available to purchase in McDonald’s restaurants for £5.89 as a standalone item and £7.69 as part of a medium meal with a drink and side.

The seven other items being added to the menus include fan-favorite mozzarella bites.

Each bite comes with a gooey cheese center covered in a crispy topping and served with a rich tomato dip.

You can buy them in restaurants for £2.39.

Chicken selections are also back on the menu, with fans able to grab a box of nine for £8.49.

The chain is also adding a chicken share box to its offerings, which comes with six chicken selections, twelve chicken nuggets and four dips.

Those with a sweet tooth will love the new Skittle McFlurry, with menus priced at £2.19.

The pudding combines soft swirled dairy ice cream with chewy chunks of Skittles fudge and sugary pearls, topped with a purple Skittles-flavored sauce.

The iconic Happy Meal is also set to undergo a massive shake-up – the biggest in more than a decade – as part of a UK trial.

There will be four new menu items in the Happy Meal range.

James Flanders, The Sun’s Chief Consumer Reporter, was one of the first to put them to the test.

How to Save Money at McDonald’s

You might not think it, but you could end up paying more based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.

The Sun has discovered that a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper in restaurants just two miles apart.

Meanwhile, you can buy a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by completing a feedback survey found on an old McDonald’s receipt.

The receipt should include a 12-digit code that you can enter on the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You will then receive a five-digit code, which is your voucher for the €2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the different apps and platforms if you’re also ordering McDonald’s to your home.

Our research has shown that some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.
