A NEW color option for the iPhone 16 Pro may have been revealed, but fans can’t quite agree on what it’ll look like.
According to a supply chain leak on Chinese social network Weibo, the upcoming model is said to get a brand new color scheme.
“The new color code for the iPhone 16 Pro is Rose,” wrote an anonymous user in a post reviewed by The US Sun. “Not the rose gold of the iPhone 6S before.”
This suggests that the shade is different from the champagne color seen on previous iPhones.
“Rose” won’t be Apple’s first foray into pink either. The latest model, the iPhone 15, comes in baby pinkPreviously, the iPhone 13 had a similar peach color.
The leaker included a sample that showed more of a sandy brown color, but this is not expected to be realistic.
The leak sparked speculation on other social media, most notably Reddit, where users shared different interpretations of the color name.
Some iPhone fans even went so far as to claim that the name indicated a red tint.
“Not rose gold. Just rose, as far as it literally goes. That could indicate a solid red color and not a pink “, wrote one Redditor.
Another suggested it might be closer to magenta.
“Rose gold was just a metallic pink“, the user wrote.
“If you look at the 15 Pro Blue Titanium, it’s quite dark. That will probably be the case here as well.”
According to the same leaker, the Blue Titanium color has been ‘cancelled’ for the iPhone 16 Pro.
The leaker previously claimed that the model will come in three other colors than pink.
These include a black titanium color similar to Deep Space Black on the iPhone 14 Pro; a white titanium color similar to Silver White on the iPhone 14 Pro; and a silver color that’s “a little bit gray” compared to the iPhone 15 Pro.
Other sources claim that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will also come in green and another shade of blue.
There are many rumors circulating about the expected launch of the iPhone 16 this fall.
Leaked design images show the Pro models with a larger screen size than the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 15 Pro.
The size of the largest device is expected to increase from iPhone 15 From the Pro Max’s 6.7 inches to a staggering 6.9 inches.
The Pro model is also expected to get a brighter display.
A previous Weibo leak revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro will have up to 1,200 nits of typical SDR brightness – a 20% increase over the current models.
However, the maximum HDR brightness remains the same at 1,600 nits.
