Amazon has discounted all its Kindles for Prime Day – one is ideal to take on holiday

PRIME DAY is in full swing and Amazon has slashed the prices of all its Kindles. But there’s only one book you should choose if you’re looking for something to read on vacation this summer.

I carefully selected the best Kindle deals from the Prime sale and matched them with the perfect users.

I’ve tested and reviewed a few different Kindles, and they’re both on sale for Amazon Prime Day

The Amazon sale started yesterday and ends tonight at 11:59 p.m. (Wednesday, July 17), so time is running out to take advantage of the discounts.

Some of the best deals during this 48-hour event are on Amazon’s smart devices, including discounts on Kindle e-readers.

If you’ve got your eye on a Kindle, Prime Day is the perfect opportunity to grab a cheaper one. There are models for every budget and preference.

Please note: These deals are exclusive to Prime members. Not a member yet? You can still start a 30-day free trial and earn money.

But don’t wait too long; you have less than 12 hours to shop before the sale ends.

I have a lot of experience with Kindles, from the budget-friendly variants to the top-of-the-line models, so I’m quite familiar with these devices.

Travelers especially like these e-readers because they allow them to carry an entire library without being too heavy and bulky compared to traditional books.

When I pack my bags for vacation, there is only one option for me: the Kindle (2022), an entry-level model.

Read on to find out why and which Kindle is right for you.

Amazon Prime Day Kindle Deals

Kindle (2022), £64.99 (was £84.99): best for holiday reading

The Kindle (2022) is the clear winner for holiday readers, and it’s also the least expensive

Kindle (2022), £64.99 (was £84.99)

If you’re planning a summer getaway, let’s face it: the British summer has been a total bust. The entry-level Kindle is the perfect travel companion.

It’s the most affordable option in the Kindle family, and with the Prime sale you can get a nice 24% discount.

I got up close and personal with this little gem in my Kindle (2022) review . Sure, it’s a budget device, but that makes it perfect for travel.

The super light 15cm frame makes it easy to fit in your bag without adding weight to your luggage (unlike those heavy paperbacks). So you have access to a complete library for the entire trip.

Many buyers find it difficult to choose between Fire tablets and Kindle, but my Fire vs. Kindle comparison made it clear: for a focused reading experience, the Kindle is still the best.

Kindle Paperwhite, £149.99 (was £179.99): best for bedtime readers

If you like to read in bed, the Paperwhite’s features are just what you’re looking forCredit: Amazon

Kindle Paperwhite, £149.99 (was £179.99)

The Paperwhite is a clear winner for people who like to read late into the night (myself included).

It’s the perfect balance in the Kindle range, offering that little bit extra for those who want more from their device. Until 23:59 tonight you can get it for just £149.99.

The clincher for me is the Ambient Light feature. I’m a big fan of being able to adjust the warmth of the display, which makes it much easier on the eyes when reading in the dark.

I compared the Paperwhite to the standard Kindle, with the Paperwhite standing out, mainly because of its 10-week battery life, compared to the Kindle’s 6 weeks.

Kindle Scribe, £209.99 (was £329.99): best for work and study

The largest Kindle in the range, the Scribe, is what students or professionals will opt for

Kindle Scribe, £209.99 (was £329.99)

The last Kindle included in the Prime sale is the Kindle Scribe, the top-of-the-line model, which I also had the opportunity to test.

When I tested the Kindle Scribe, I was impressed with the paper-like quality of the e-ink screen and its realistic note-taking capabilities.

At 10.2 inches, this model has the largest screen of any Kindle and also features the adjustable heat function found on the smaller Paperwhite.

Normally priced at just under £330, it’s the most expensive option in the line-up. I wouldn’t spend that much on a Kindle Scribe, but at its current retail price of £209.99, it’s a lot more tempting.

There is definitely a market for it. Book lovers on a budget who want extra features will find it a worthy investment.

It’s perfect for students and professionals looking for a versatile device that lets them take notes in class or on the go, while also reading books on a larger screen.

I also compared the Scribe to the Remarkable 2, its closest competitor, and Amazon’s offering appears to offer better value.
