Audio-Technica launches new earbuds with chest-thumping bass

A complaint I often hear about wireless earbuds is that they don’t have enough bass. Some people just love the thump of a bass string and want the earth to move when they listen to their favorite music.

Japanese brand Audio-Technica has taken these criticisms to heart and created new true wireless earbuds with extra punch. Launching today, the ATH-CKS30TW+ earbuds are designed to deliver chest-thumping bass that belies their compact build. And just in case ambient noise gets in the way of your bassline, these buds all offer immersive active noise cancellation.

Audio-Technical says these new earbuds are the culmination of a 15-year quest for super-deep bass. To plumb the depths of mega bass, the company added acoustic channels and patented 9mm drivers that manage airflow. And if bass is about anything, it’s about moving bigger amounts of air to get that big bass sound.

With precisely controlled low frequencies, detailed mids and what Audio-Technical describes as “sparkling highs”, these earbuds are the ideal gift for anyone who loves music, movies and games with maximum impact.

Audio-Technica’s Connect app provides access to an ultra-low frequency equalizer that extends the bass even further for beats that get your body moving. There are also four additional EQ presets available, so users can enhance everything from vocal clarity to dynamic gaming. The presets are Bass Boost – Beat, Dynamic, Vocal, and Clear. The presets can be favorited in the app, and will be automatically applied to the earbuds every time you listen.

The combination of deep bass and active noise cancellation makes the ATH-CKS30TW+ ideal for those who want to enjoy optimal sound. It blocks out unwanted noises, such as air conditioning and the noise of public transport.

Accessible via a tap on the built-in touch sensor control, feedforward active noise cancellation is complemented by hear-through and talk-through functions, allowing for ambient sounds and natural conversations without having to remove the earbuds.

A full charge of the earbud batteries gives you up to 6.5 hours of playtime with noise canceling turned on. With the spare charge in the earbud storage case, you’ll get a total of 17.5 hours of listening time. For even more battery life, turn noise canceling off and you’ll get up to 7.5 hours of playtime with the earbuds, or 20 hours with the charging case.

Available in four colours, the ATH-CKS30TW+ have a snug, natural fit that prevents bass frequencies from escaping and physically blocks out unwanted ambient noise.

A comfortable fit and low weight make the earbuds suitable for hiking and working out. An IP55 water and dustproof rating means sweaty gym sessions shouldn’t be a problem. An Out-of-Range Alert and Product Locator also means users won’t lose their earbuds by forgetting or misplacing them.
