Tess Daly has proven that she’s no ordinary mom – she’s a cool mom.

The 55-year-old TV presenter recounted a recent phone call she had with her daughter Phoebe, who wanted to know where she was.

And Tess happily told the 19-year-old that she’s currently partying with Calvin Harris at the luxurious Ushuaïa Beach Hotel in Ibiza.

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter shared a photo of herself with DJ Calvin, his wife Vick Hope and Tess’ girlfriend Gayle.

Tess looked stunning in a multi-coloured off-the-shoulder summer dress, with her platinum blonde locks falling loosely over her shoulders.

Tess has had a lot to celebrate recently, after Strictly won a major award at the 2024 BAFTA Television Awards.

The BBC show won the award for Best Entertainment Programme, beating Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Later… With Jools Holland and Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas.

Dominic West presented the award, while Tess joined co-host Claudia Winkleman on stage to join the Strictly team to accept the honour.

Tess began her acceptance speech by saying, “Thank you so much BAFTA for making it worth putting on the Spanx on the hottest day of the year — it was a struggle.”

She expressed her gratitude for the award, explaining that it was extra meaningful as it coincided with Strictly’s 20th anniversary, after the dance competition first aired on TV in May 2004.

Tess said: ‘This year is Strictly’s 20th anniversary. We’ve been on TV for 20 years. So this is the best birthday present.

“And to those of you watching at home, thank you for watching. Without you, we wouldn’t be here and that really means a lot to us.”

She continued: “And this award is for the whole Strictly team, who are the best in television. They work so hard and they are led by our incredible executive producer Sarah James, who is amazing.

“We are so lucky to have you. Not only did she produce our show last year, she gave birth during it – you are special!”

She concluded: ‘It was just the most fantastic series and we want to thank all the celebrities for taking part and for their courage. We may include some of you in the room for the next series.’

Claudia, 52, also joined in the discussion, complimenting the judges and professional dancers. She couldn’t resist making a joke about Strictly’s musical director, Dave Arch, 61.

She said enthusiastically, “We have to mention our extraordinary judges, the backbone of our show, the amazing professional dancers. So thank you.”

‘And of course we’re in a trio with Dave Archer, so thanks Dave!’

Speaking to the media after their win, the duo couldn’t hide their joy and surprise at winning the award.

Claudia admitted: ‘We are quite shocked. I feel wobbly and weird!’
