The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 16

One of Lenovo’s top-tier gaming laptops, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 earned an “Outstanding” 4.5 stars and our Editors’ Choice award in our review. That’s thanks to exceptional performance, a gorgeous display for gaming, a sturdy build, and surprisingly respectable battery life. In our review, we said its “Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 [GPU] Powering a 2,560-by-1,600-pixel display with a 240Hz refresh rate,” it’s “ready to handle the most demanding games.” You’ll find plenty of other configurations besides the model we reviewed. Either way, this is a high-end gaming laptop that avoids the steep price trap that so many competitors fall into.

In our review, we gave the 2023 Razer Blade 14 an “Outstanding” 4.5 stars and our Editors’ Choice award. It’s still relevant thanks to the lack of new Nvidia mobile GPUs this year, meaning you can save a fair bit of money without having to worry too much about buying a seriously outdated gaming rig. In our review, we found that the Blade 14 “screams through today’s titles, thanks to an AI-enhanced AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and high-wattage Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics.” Sure, you’ll find plenty of other configurations to better suit your style or budget, but rest assured, this is one of the best compact gaming laptops around, even a year after its debut.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024)

A superior alternative to last year’s Razer Blade 14, the 2024 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 earned an “Outstanding” 4.5 stars and our Editors’ Choice award in our review for “well built, a pleasure to use, and a powerful performer on the back of AMD’s latest Ryzen 9 processor and an Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU.” We especially liked its sleek redesign with a metal chassis, not to mention its 120Hz, 1800p display. Despite its thinness and speedy display, this Zephyrus has plenty of ports and surprisingly long battery life, making it a gaming laptop to covet this year.

Alienware Aurora R16

Alienware Aurora R16

Dell’s excellent revamped midrange gaming tower

$1,199.99
at Dell

$1,599.99
Save $400.00

Our 2023 Alienware Aurora R16 review praised this gaming tower for its “refreshed design inside” that “delivers quieter operation, more speed, and broader appeal.” We gave it an “Excellent” 4 stars and our Editors’ Choice award , but this deal here includes the latest model with a 14th Gen Intel Core HX processor, though it still gets the same Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series GPU options as before. With that, we’re confident we can heartily recommend this pretty lucrative discount from Dell direct. For the price, you’re getting excellent performance and whisper-quiet operation, not to mention a refreshingly upgradeable design and a wide selection of ports.

If you’re on the hunt for a gaming PC that won’t take up your desk space, this is definitely a consideration. Our Asus ROG G22CH review praised it as a “brisk little gaming rig” with “on-target GPU performance” and an “attractive compact design.” Our review was for last year’s version with 13th-gen Intel processing, but this deal is for the updated 14th-gen model – albeit with the same Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series graphics options as last year. With little else changing, we’re confident in this recommendation, saving you a few bucks on a mighty gaming tower that won’t dominate your gaming den.
