With just over a week to go until Samsung’s summer Unpacked event, the full specs list for the new watches has leaked.
The full specs list for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 have been detailed by Dealabs, along with some potential colors. The larger Ultra model will reportedly debut with a 1.5-inch 480 x 480 resolution Super AMOLED display. Rumors also claim that the device will arrive in a 47mm size option measuring 47.4 x 47.1 x 12.1mm.
Internally, the magazine adds that the Ultra variant could feature the Exynos W1000 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Samsung’s take on Wear OS, One UI Watch 6, is said to welcome users out of the box.
A 590mAh battery with fast charging capabilities was also highlighted. Users can expect NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 4G, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, and 5GHz connectivity options. For the sensors, the alleged spec sheet claims a GPS, light and geomagnetic sensors, gyroscope, barometer, BioActive, temperature and heart rate sensors.
IP6X dust resistance and 10 ATM water resistance complete the specifications of the Watch Ultra.
The publication adds that the device’s color options (in France at least) will be Titanium Gray, Titanium White, and Titanium Silver for its 47mm size. The device is also rumored to come with a price tag of €699 in France, which is roughly $750. It’s worth noting that pricing is always tricky, and Samsung will likely adjust it accordingly for each region.
The Galaxy Watch 7 is rumored to feature the same array of sensors as its Ultra sibling. However, the publication notes that consumers could see two size variants: 40mm and 44mm. The former could come with a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display while the latter could feature a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display like the larger model. The same Exynos SoC is also said to be powering the watch.
The Watch 7’s RAM and storage options are the same, but there are differences in the battery. The smaller 40mm could come with a 300mAh capacity, while the 44mm has a 425mAh battery. These sizes are similar to last year’s Watch 6 and 6 Classic.
The report notes that the Watch 7 could have the same IP6X dust resistance, but that it will be 5 ATM water-resistant.
The 40mm variant of the base model with Bluetooth is said to come in green and cream color options for €319 (~$342). The 44mm option with green and silver colors could cost €349 (~$374). The publication suggests that the 40mm Bluetooth/4G version could come with a price tag of €369 (~$395), while the 44mm could be offered for €399 (~$428).
The Watch 7 appeared on Amazon’s retail listing with a sneak peek at a few features. The BioActive sensor remains consistent between the two leaks, though the Amazon listing mentioned a “Daily AI Companion,” likely a reference to Samsung’s Galaxy AI. Alongside similar color schemes, the listing noted that consumers can expect to receive their Watch 7 on July 16, just six days after Unpacked.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy Watch Ultra recently appeared in a number of official-looking renders alongside the Buds 3 series. The now-deleted images showed the Watch Ultra with a chunky strap, a square body, and a circular face with multiple physical buttons.
Samsung has confirmed that its summer Unpacked event will take place on July 10 in Paris, France, and that consumers can begin pre-ordering their devices.
