The iconic BMW kidney grille, flanked by sleek, adaptive LED headlights with cornering functionality, adds to the car’s assertive look. Prominent wheel arches are another defining feature of the M5’s exterior. These arches not only accommodate the car’s wider track and performance tyres, but also contribute to its muscular stance. The flared design gives the M5 a robust appearance, suggesting the power and agility that lies beneath the surface. These elements are complemented by striking side skirts that run along the lower edges of the car, improving aerodynamic efficiency and enhancing its dynamic silhouette. This fully digital screen grouping consists of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display, providing a modern interface for all vehicle functions.

For the seats, the M5 features unique M seats that offer both track-ready support and long-distance comfort. These seats can be customised in one of four shades of Extended Merino Leather: Black, Silverstone/Black bi-colour, Red/Black bi-colour and Kyalami Orange/Black bi-colour. For an even more exclusive touch, BMW is introducing the BMW Individual Full Merino Metallic leather upholstery, available in Black/Dark Violet bi-colour and Taupe Grey/Deep Lagoon Pearl Effect bi-colour.

Ambient lighting throughout the M5’s interior enhances the cabin’s ambience. This includes illumination for the smartphone tray, centre armrest and handle recess in the door panel trim, along with a welcome animation with light signals in the BMW M tricolour. The BMW Interaction Bar, integrated into the instrument panel with a crystal-clear glass look, extends into the front door panel trim and includes control surfaces for the ventilation settings, rear window heating and hazard warning lights. Completing the interior is a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 18 speakers and 655 watts of output as standard.
