ForbesToday’s NYT ‘Connections’ Tips and Answers for Sunday, June 30

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the start of a new week! Somehow we are already halfway through 2024. The first half of the year was good for me. Let’s hope it stays that way, and that the rest of 2024 is great for you too.

Today NYT Connections hints and answers coming soon.

Connections play

In Connectionsyou get a grid of 16 words. Your task is to organize them into four groups of four by finding the connections between them. The groups can be things like horror movie franchises, some kind of verb, or rappers.

There is only one solution to each puzzle, and you have to be careful with words that fit into more than one category. You can shuffle the words to see possible connections between the words.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is usually the hardest to figure out. The purple group often contains puns, so keep that in mind.

Select four words that you think go together and press Submit. If you make a guess and are wrong, you lose a life. If you are close to having the correct group, you may see a message telling you that you are one word away from the correct group, but you still need to figure out which one to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with some tips, and, if you’re really struggling, today’s information Connections answers.

This is your final warning!

Today Connections answers are…

  • Yellow group — showing the way (DIRECT, GUIDE, LEAD, GUIDER)
  • Green group — schedule (CON, HUSTLE, RACKET, STING)
  • Blue group – seen on a US dollar bill (EAGLE, PYRAMID, SEAL, WASHINGTON)
  • Purple group – first word of Canadian provinces/territories (BRITISH, NORTHWEST, NOVA, PRINCE)

My second loss in a row was frustrating considering a) it’s Canada Day and that should have clicked, and b) that’s the country I live in. I’m now afraid that I won’t be allowed in anymore after my holiday.

I saw STING, USHER and PRINCE right away, but didn’t see any other mononym singers willing to go with them. I then turned my attention to the Greens, but made a mistake by recording PYRAMID instead of STING initially. I corrected that for my first group.

I then found the yellow one before I got into trouble. I had no idea about the blue or purple colors. NOVA should have been enough of a hint for the latter. But after a few random guesses my luck ran out.

That’s all that’s needed for today Connections clues and answers. Make sure to visit my blog for tips and the solution for Tuesday’s game if you need it.

PS On Friday I went to a very nice show, where both The Darkness (a band I love very much) and the always fun Busted played. So let’s start this week with my favorite song from the latter.
