These unsung heroes from the North East are celebrated for their outstanding achievements and contributions to society.

The King’s Birthday Honors List 2024 has been announced and a whole series of people from our region have been applauded for various achievements. All of the people mentioned here have been honored for making a difference in their community, in their field of work or for helping improve the lives of others.




A range of MBEs, OBEs and BEMs have been awarded. This is the full list of recipients from Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Northumberland, along with details of their awards.
