The plane chaos left the British fearing for their lives when a Boeing plane made a horror emergency stop during a failed takeoff.
The twin-jet Boeing 737-800 skidded down the runway at Dalman Airport in Turkey before screeching to a halt.
Passengers were spitting in their seats after the pilot exited the elevator with the front of the plane already in the air.
Horror footage can be seen inside the cabin of flight TOM213 as the plane plunged back onto the tarmac with passengers holding on tightly to their seats.
They had already suffered a four-hour delay on Monday due to “disruptions” with the plane bound for Manchester.
The aircraft’s operator later announced that a “technical problem” was the reason for the failed attempt.

Boeing’s latest blunder comes as the company faces questions about several incidents in recent months due to malfunctions on its planes.
One traveler told The Sun: “Before we left, a lot of workers arrived because there was a fault with one of the engines.”
When he was finally cleared for takeoff, the pilot joked over the PA system, “We’re good news and bad news – the good news is that there is no bad news.”
We all thought we were going to die
Frightened passenger
Moments later, the plane lifted its nose to take off before suddenly crashing again.
The impact left passengers slamming their faces into the seats in front of them, while others suffered panic attacks.
The aircraft, piloted by TUI staff, then skidded across the tarmac for ten seconds before coming to a stop.
Passengers on board the Turkish flight revealed the horrifying emotions of her fellow passengers during the blunder, saying: “I thought we had crashed into another plane.
“While we were skidding, a flight attendant was on her knees and said, ‘I have three children.’
“Babies were crying and mothers couldn’t even soothe them. We all thought we were going to die.”
Passengers shouted ‘get me off’ after the sudden impact.
The pilot is said to have told the shocked passengers that the plane was flying at a speed of 280 km/h when he aborted the take-off.
It is also believed that they compared the plane to a car stopped on the road.
One passenger said the pilot’s words only made the situation worse as people were left baffled and unable to understand why the takeoff was so bad.
The plane was never safe to fly – I’m glad the pilot abandoned the landing because god knows what would have happened otherwise
Frightened passenger
Another video of the aftermath shows the pilot telling traumatized travelers: “We had another glitch on the plane.
“It seems quite dramatic – I know it’s disturbing.”
They were then forced to remain on the plane for another 30 minutes as dozens of firefighters surrounded the plane.
The passenger said: “We think one of the engines may have been on fire but we couldn’t see anything.
“The plane was never safe to fly. I’m glad the pilot pulled out of the landing because God knows what would have happened otherwise.”
Some passengers said afterwards that they could smell burning fuel coming from the back of the plane.
The source also claimed that TUI representatives involved in the flight had asked the travelers to stay in Turkey for three more days.
Nearly 200 people were reportedly trapped in their search for shelter.
They were then told that the same waving aircraft would be used on the rebooked flight to Britain.
Several travelers declined the offer. One of them spent £300 on a Spirit Airlines flight back to Manchester and vowed never to step foot on a TUI flight again.
Passengers are still waiting to find out how much compensation they are owed from the airline.
A spokesperson for TUI UK and Ireland told The Sun: “We are sorry to hear of customer experiences following the delayed departure of flight TOM213 from Dalaman to Manchester.
“Although we always strive to get our customers to and from their holidays as safely and smoothly as possible, this time a technical problem has unfortunately delayed the flight’s departure.
“All customers will automatically receive compensation for flight delays and we will use the lessons learned from this incident to improve communications with our customers in the future.”
They claimed the plane had a “technical problem” rather than an engine fire and that the plane did not deviate from the runway.
Boeing representatives have been asked for comment by The Sun.
BOEING BLUNDERS
A few weeks ago, a Boeing 737 plane with fifty passengers on board had to make an emergency landing just minutes after takeoff.
The United Airlines plane stayed in the air for only a few minutes before complaints of a wing irregularity were reported.
A 747-400 was also made to return after flames were spotted coming from the engine during takeoff.
Frightening footage shows streaks of orange flames shooting from the plane as it soars into the sky with 450 passengers on board.
The Sun also reported on a burning plane skidding off the runway in Senegal in May.
The Boeing 737 plane was seen on fire as terrified passengers had to jump to the ground for safety at Dakar airport.
All 73 passengers were evacuated; fifteen of them were injured, four of them seriously.
Hours earlier, another Boeing plane suffered a technical problem, raising safety concerns and adding to the headaches for the aircraft giant.
A total of 190 people had to be evacuated after their Corendon Airlines flight suffered a blowout while landing at Gazipasa Airport in Alanya, Turkey.
