XDefiant has been a lot of fun since launch, but many fans have complained about overpowered snipers and unpunished rabbit hopping. Fortunately, these complaints have been resolved in Ubisoft’s latest update. Here you will find the XDefiant June 12 update Y1S0.3 patch notes to see all balance changes and solutions.

The release date for season 1 has been revealed and is only a few weeks away. In addition to announcing the launch day for Season 1, the game’s executive producer has stated that Team Deathmatch will arrive in “a few weeks.” Search and Destroy is also coming, but Team Deathmatch will arrive first.

While we can’t wait for the start of Season 1 and the arrival of Team Deathmatch, many XDefiant fans will simply be happy that snipers have received nerfs in the Y1S0.3 patch notes update.

XDefiant June 12 update Y1S0.3 patch notes

Below are the patch notes of the June 12 XDefiant update Y1S0.3:

  • Added targeting penalties for players who go to town with the jump/crouch buttons, aka the nuanced tactic of jump spamming, aka the maddening exploit of jump spamming. Opinions vary.
  • Players can now push the pack in Escort mode with the confidence that their legs won’t detach from their torso and leave them stranded, which did happen.
  • Various refinements for long-range shooting, including a slightly slower walking speed when holding your breath while wielding ranged weapons, which makes sense when you think about it.
  • Updated how snipers flinch when tagged by enemy fire, increasing the flinch and keeping the machine going through multiple hits.
  • Fixed a PC-specific issue where players were unable to enable ADS after completing a match and changing gameplay input.
  • Fixed an Xbox-specific issue where the Xbox button would break in the in-game social menu after inviting a player from said console.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented blocked players from reading your chat messages.
  • The way ping is calculated in matchmaking has been adjusted so you have access to a broader group of players who share your ping characteristics.
  • Players were unable to join a nearly full game in progress despite being invited by someone already in the game. But good news: now they can.
  • Fixed an issue where players could join an ongoing game that didn’t fit their carefully adjusted controller and matchmaking settings.
  • Libertad’s medical skills were so powerful that they took up bandwidth. That’s solved (the bandwidth problem, not the healing ability, which remains untouched).
  • Added additional fixes so that Echelon players only become invisible when using the Digital Ghillie Suit, instead of for their entire lives. They’re supposed to be sneaky, but come on.
  • Corrected how Libertad’s battlefield medicine achievements are highlighted at the end of each round for well-deserved peer group recognition.
  • Previously, the camera would shake when explosives exploded nearby, regardless of whether the explosion caused damage to the player or not, but now the camera will only shake if the exploding explosive causes damage.
  • Adjusted the orientation of flags on the Liberty map.
  • Crash fixes, several.
  • The pop-up frequency of the ‘Banned for Toxicity’ notification has been reduced, because you know who you are.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from deploying skills and devices after changing control inputs.
  • The Buzzkill achievement was not unlocked, but will now be unlocked as planned.
  • Previously, cosmetic items would show up as available in some places, but not where you could actually get them. That has now been resolved.
