Wuthering Waves developer Kuro Games has once again apologized to players for “the existing shortcomings and issues” in the game, and outlined how it plans to improve the experience in the future.
In a lengthy blog post titled “Announcement about Wuthering Waves 1.0 version and future customization directions” posted earlier today, the team said that Wuthering Waves was its “first fully independently developed and globally published game” and understood that the launch issues “affected have had on your gaming experience”.
In an attempt to outline how it plans to improve things for “those who love the game,” Kuro says it has focused on optimizations and iterations for the 1.0 versions, and looks ahead to what changes it may introduce in further versions -updates. .
“We are aware of widespread community concerns that the current Echo leveling experience feels too grindy and that the game does not have a Waveplates save system,” the team said. “We have confirmed the following adjustments and will implement them as we work internally on solutions to address other common issues.”
Consequently, there will be a temporary double-reward Echo material called “Chord Cleansing” – although we’re not sure when that will be – and the development team says it will adjust the progression system to reduce the Shell Credit cost for the development. Echoes in the 1.1 update.
The Tacet Field reward movie will also be removed from version 1.1 and the returns on Echos and Echo development materials will be increased.
Similarly, the team has focused on the Echo recycling system, which has shortchanged players when recycling developed Echoes, but admits that it has “failed to make an announcement” of the hotfix it will bring as a result of which, “which unfortunately caused negative experiences for our players”.
“We sincerely apologize for our inappropriate handling of this situation and for the inconvenience caused,” Kuro said.
Consequently, all players will receive one million Shell Credits as compensation by June 10.
“As our players discovered, the in-game description of the 5-Star Weapon Verdant Summit contained a mistranslation in certain languages,” the team added.
“When we discovered this issue, we immediately corrected the description and provided compensation to all Rovers. We’ve also begun an extensive internal review of the localized versions of the in-game texts in all the languages we support. Any corrections or improvements made during the process will be included in upcoming updates. We sincerely apologize for this error and would like to assure you that we are committed to continually improving the quality of our localization to improve the experience for all Rovers.
As an apology, players will receive five Forging Tides as a one-time compensation gift for the translation error.
“Since the official global launch of Wuthering Wave, we have been discouraged by our inability to provide a high-quality gaming experience for all Rovers. We understand that continuously releasing better versions and content is our goal and mission, and we will always strive to uphold it,” the team concludes.
“Besides the adjustments mentioned above, we recognize that there are still many issues in the game that impact the player experience. We are committed to listening to every single piece of feedback, continually organizing, optimizing and solving these issues to make Wuthering Waves better.”
